Northwestern Football Players Unionize

ESPN- In a potentially game-changing moment for college athletics, the Chicago district of the National Labor Relations Board ruled on Wednesday that Northwestern football players qualify as employees of the university and can unionize.
NLRB regional director Peter Sung Ohr cited the players' time commitment to their sport and the fact that their scholarships were tied directly to their performance on the field as reasons for granting them union rights.
Ohr ruled that the players can hold a vote on whether they want to be represented by the College Athletes Players Association, which brought the case to the NLRB along with former Wildcats quarterback Kain Colter and the United Steelworkers union.

So it came out today that members of the Northwestern football team won their case to unionize and are no longer legally slaves I mean student athletes. Is this a step in the right direction for college athletes everywhere? Yes. Will Darren Rovell be against it in some way because he is a fuckin asshole and went to Northwestern? Of course.
The fact that college athletes, especially football and basketball players, aren't even given a weekly stipend for food and condoms is a national travesty. Think about it this way. An athlete is given a scholarship to play a sport but then is "encouraged" to choose a bullshit major, never has time to study so his grades are shit and if he gets hurt he loses that free ride. But the NCAA says they aren't exploiting these athletes.

And people always say that college athletes have it easy. Sure, they get tons of ratchet pussy thrown their way and have a chance to make millions one day but for every Johnny Manziel there are 50 guys working at a car wash, with 5 kids from different whores, talking about how they used to play college ball. So if the NCAA wants to make millions off college sports and call it exploitation, then fine. But they don't, they say the opposite of that and talk about athlete this and education that.

I see nothing wrong with a football player accepting a meal from a booster after a big game or getting a cut of the profits from their jersey being sold in the bookstore. So bravo to the guys with brass balls that actually decided to unionize. Sure, you will get sued until the day you die by the NCAA but keep up the good fight.

P.S.
Any chick who talks about how they had time to study in college and played a sport should be immediately cock slapped and her tubes need to be tied.
